Shantille Vos

Recreational Gymnastics Coach

Shantille is a former Level 10 USAG gymnast who trained at Olympiad Gymnastics in Virgina under the tutelage of Boris and Larissa Choutkin. She also began her coaching career there, working with both recreational gymnasts as well as team levels 4 through 7.

Shantille believes that the skills she learned during her years as a competitive gymnast, such as focus, drive, and confidence, have proved invaluable in her adult life. She loves to help pass these qualities on to future generations of gymnasts - with a lot of fun along the way, of course!

Shantille has 15 years of gymnastics experience, as well as 5 years of competitive dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, and acro/lyrical. As a teenager, she enjoyed competing in beauty pageants and earned the title of Junior Miss Virginia.

When she's not in the gym bouncing on the trampolines, Shantille is dedicated to always furthering her knowledge in the many areas that interest her. She lived in Brazil for 1 year, where she learned passable Portuguese and made a more intense study of the local cuisine. In her free time, she loves to read books (the longer the better!), visit coffee shops and cathedrals, and take her Golden Retriever to the park.
