Kate Gusko

Recreational Gymnastics and Cheer Coach

Coach Kate was born and raised in Pembroke Pines, Florida, but moved to Orlando to attend college in the fall of 2013. Kate has been a cheerleader since the age of eight, competing with recreational, competitive, and high school teams. She joined the Element Allstars in 2006 and competed with them for 6 years at level 3, traveling to different states and competing in local and national competitions. At the age of 12, Kate began taking tumbling classes at Nova Gymnastics and grew fascinated with the sport.

Throughout her high school career, Kate volunteered as a junior cheerleading coach for the Pasadena Panthers, teaching young girls stunts, tumbling, and different routines that they would perform in competition. She’s always enjoyed working with kids and loves watching their skills and attitudes progress as they grow. She feels it is such a rewarding experience!

Kate is currently a full time student at Valencia College and will be transferring to UCF in 2015, with the goals of becoming a hospitality major. In her spare time, Kate loves to play music, especially percussion instruments.
