Coach Antonio was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he played baseball as well as a variety of other sports. In high school, he developed a desire to become a teacher. Antonio attended the University of Puerto Rico in Bayamon, where he was on the cheerleading squad and served as the assistant coach. Antonio became a certified personal trainer while he was on the cheer team. After graduating college in 2011, Antonio moved with his wife to Orlando in hopes of following his dream of becoming a Universal Cheerleading Association instructor. He worked for 3 years as a gymnastics, cheer, and tumbling instructor at Orlando Metro Gymnastics. In 2012 he became a cheerleading instructor for the Universal Cheerleading Association.

Antonio has experience as both a pre-team and recreational coach. He also coached a gymnastics class for children with disabilities, specifically blindness. Antonio spends his summers traveling throughout Florida training cheerleaders, and in 2013 became the cheer coach at Poinciana High School. In his spare time Antonio enjoys bike riding and playing basketball. His favorite athlete is Carmelo Anthony. He is thrilled to be a part of the Orlando Gymnastics team and share his knowledge of gymnastics and tumbling with all his students.
